The excitement didn’t end for MGM juniors Trenise Edwards and Dominique Jones last May when they completed the Health Science program at T.L. Faulkner while earning their Alabama Certified Nurse Aide credential as part of the curriculum.
Both of the students were so excited to be getting a jump start on their post-secondary goals while in high school that they decided to come back and take the Health Science Senior Project Class in order to obtain additional hands-on experience in their career objective.
According to senior Dominique Jones, "obtaining my C.N.A while in high school is only the beginning. My goal is to become a Pediatrician. I would recommend the Health Science program to all high school students who want to pursue health care as a career. Mrs. Pough is a great teacher and mentor."
The students will begin their 4 week job shadow internship on Thursday, September 12, 2013.
