Washington, D.C. Army 10-mile Run

In October, the Blount JROTC Leopards, for the second year in a row, participated  in the Army Ten Miler in Washington, D.C.! Thanks to LTC Robbie Cross for providing the opportunity for these cadets to represent MCPSS in this annual event. Last year they were the only JROTC unit in America to run this race!

The trip also included visits to Arlington National Cemetary, the US Capitol, and the White House. Blount students were featured in the 2017 ATM Program for their groudbreaking accomplishments.


Vigor HS Hospitality and Tourism Students

On October 10, 2017, Hospitality and Tourism students at Vigor High School, under the direction of instructor Kala McCollum, prepared and served food for the Academy partners meeting. Students gained hands-on experience in preparing food, elegant food presentation, and serving food.

Hospitality and Tourism has long been an importnat industry in the Mobile area. Mobile County Public Schools strives to respond to industry needs by providing programs to meet those needs.

Vigor High School JROTC

Vigor High School's JROTC program is growing! Vigor cadets are taking a leadership role within the JROTC program and within the school. Thanks to the leadership of LTC Walter Henry and 1SG Derrick Juzang, Vigor's JROTC program will continue to be a vital part of the Vigor High School legacy.

Citronelle HS Agriscience Students Give Back to the Community

Mr.Crews’ Agriculture Science class helped give the old Gatlin Field sign a fresh coat of paint to further beautify their hometown and keep its status high. The students also weeded the plants surrounding the sign and spread pine straw around them while also replacing some bricks on the sign. Thank you to Mr. Crews and the Ag students for all of their hard work!
