Blount High School Health Science Students Participate in Career Fair

Blount High School Health Science students made an impression on their younger counterparts when they participated in the Holloway Elementary School Career Fair held January 24, 2017. The elementary students were able to learn about careers in the health-care industry as well as, see how they can begin to prepare for their careers while in high school. The high school students were able to talk to Holloway students and to demonstrate some of the things they do in their Health Science class.

Two seniors from Davidson High Schools earned Honorable Mention for Regional NCWIT Aspirations in Computing 2017 Award. Congratulations to Carlin Diemert & Danielle Leslie.


The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) is the only national non-profit focused on women's participation in computing. NCWIT helps over 900 organizations recruit, retain, and advance women from K-12 and higher education through industry and entrepreneurial careers by providing support, evidence, and action. National Technical Honor Society Chapters to Hold Induction Ceremonies

Family and friends of CTE students will once again have the opportunity to celebrate the induction of CTE students into the National Technical Honor Society. Each high school and both Career Tech Centers in the district will be holding induction ceremonies to recognize qualified CTE high school seniors with honor cords and certificates to recognize their achievement. Check with sponsors from each school for specific dates and times.

Along with academic excellence, NTHS promotes seven additional attributes of membership: skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship, and leadership. As part of the Induction Ceremony, students will pledge to maintain these standards of personal conduct in their education, careers, and as citizens of their community and country.

Commerce and Information Technology--Busy 1st Semester

Commerce and Information Technology students had a busy 1st semester. Students from all 12 high schools in Mobile County Public Schools were able to participate in a variety of activities. Just a few are pictured below.

Davidson HS JROTC Navy Cadet Works with the Mobile Fire Department

Davidson High School Cadet Christopher Berry is working with the City of Mobile Fire Department in the Logistics Division. Christopher works hard and is getting quite a bit of hands-on experience. Pictured below, Christopher is testing some of the newest fire protection equipment.
