Murphy High School: First MOS Expert in Word 2016

Congratulations to Bryan Wetzel from Murphy High School. Bryan is the first student in Mobile County Public Schools to achieve Microsoft Office Specialist--Expert in Microsoft Office Word 2016. This is quite an accomplishment because Mobile County Public Schools only recently updated to Microsoft Office 2016. Well done!

Baker High School Work-Based Learning Students

Work-Based Learning students make quite an economical impact on the economy of our city and county. These students get the opportunity to attend school in the morning and work in the afternoons. At Baker High School, students are placed in a variety of jobs in which they learn specific job-related skills and essential skills necessary for today's work force. Davidson High School AP Computer Science Dual Enrollment (Java) seniors learn about Mutators & Constructors by coding in Java and building a sugary instance of their work. Completing hands-on activities, even edible ones, give students the opportunity to put their theories to work.

Blount JROTC Change of Command

Blount High School JROTC held their change of command ceremony in late August. LTC (Ret.) Robbie Cross led the students in the ceremony as the "torch was passed" to the new student leadership.
