In the Human Services cluster, students choose one of seven pathways: Consumer Services; Fashion; Interior Design; Food, Wellness and Dietetics; Early Childhood Development and Services; Family Studies and Community Services; or Personal Care Services. Each course contains specific content standards indicating what students should know and be able to do upon completion of the course. These courses incorporate knowledge and skills related to the Human Services cluster. Family and Consumer Sciences is the foundation course for these pathways, except for the Personal Care Services pathway. The required course for Cosmetology, which is listed under the Personal Care Services pathway, is Introduction to Cosmetology.
